IS THIS FOR BEGINNERS?

Everyone from all backgrounds are welcome to join our batches. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced martial artist, you will benefit from Krav Maga training. The classes slowly ramp up in intensity as you progress and your fitness improves. The intensity is managed for beginners.

WILL MY FITNESS LEVELS IMPROVE?

Krav Maga training is designed to improve every aspect of fighting fitness.

  • Strength to fend off stronger attackers.

  • Cardio and Stamina for longer fights and to escape.

  • Flexibility and Mobility for kicks, techniques, and movement.

While training is not designed for weight loss, you will burn A LOT of calories each session.

DO YOU OFFER A TRIAL CLASS/SESSION?

No, we don't offer a trial class/session. Krav Maga is not a system that you can grasp in one or two sessions. We do offer a discount for new registrations. We recommend attending the batch for a month before you decide to continue.

WHAT IS THE AGE RESTRICTION?

Minimum age of the participant for regular classes should be 15. Krav Maga is a self-defense system which requires understanding from the participants to use it only as a last resort in case of a violent attack. There is no upper age limit for Krav Maga. Our batches have included people in their 60s as well.


We have a separate batch for kids ages 8 to 14.

IF I WANT TO SPEED UP TRAINING?

For trainees who want to speed up their training, they can attend an additional batch simultaneously. As an incentive to do so, you get a 40% discount on the fees of this additional batch. e.g. The fees become ₹7,000 + ₹4,200 = ₹11,200 for both batches for a month. The same applies for quarterly fees ₹17,000 + ₹10,200 = ₹27,200 for both batches for a quarter.

WHAT ARE THE VISITING HOURS?

There are NO visiting hours. If you want to get a glimpse of our classes, you can visit us on instagram @kravmagapune. Most of the information you need can be found on our website and/or can be discussed with our instructor on call. The studio is ONLY open to registered students during their batch timings.

IS KRAV MAGA TRAINING EFFECTIVE?

Krav Maga has been designed to be the most effective self-defense system in the world. That being said, you will not be a trained fighter in the span of a few classes. Training to be a competent fighter takes months of dedicated practice. There are multiple areas of improvement, such as Striking and Grappling Skills, Strength and Stamina, Mobility and Flexibility.

WHY ARE SESSIONS ONCE A WEEK?

Over years of training hundreds of students, we have realized that training once a week is enough. It is more important to dedicate time to one session per week than to come multiple times, especially if you live far away, work long hours, or have to attend college/school. One 2.5 hour session with us is equivalent to 3 sessions with other martial arts/combat training.

WHY DO YOU HAVE SMALL BATCHES?

Krav Maga is an intense activity. In larger batches, your chances of getting injured are greater. Our goal to is to give you personalised attention to correct mistakes, answer questions and doubts, and make sure you understand what is being taught or demonstrated. This is possible in a small batch of 4 to 6 students. Quality over Quantity.

WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THE COURSE?

Training of Fighter Levels 1 & 2 (Practitioner Levels 1 & 2) takes roughly 6 months to complete. Training to be a competent fighter takes roughly between 12 and 18 months (Fighter Level 3 and beyond). We train, revise, and do drills till the techniques become muscle memory. If you have a time constraint and want to speed up your training you can join an additional batch.

WHAT GEAR DO YOU NEED?

You will need Wrist Wraps and a Groin Guard for the first 3 months of training. MMA Gloves, Shin Guard and Mouth Guard is required at higher levels when sparring is introduced.

IS KRAV MAGA A MARTIAL ART?

A martial arts system has its basis in spirituality and rigid routines, e.g. karate, kalaripayattu, kung fu, tai chi, etc. A combat sport has rules, and an individual is trained for fighting one opponent, e.g. boxing, kick boxing, MMA, ju jitsu etc. A street fight has no rules and can have multiple attackers. Krav Maga is a self-defense system designed to tackle such a situation.

WHO IS PERSONAL TRAINING FOR?

If your training and fitness goals fit outside the scope of the regular batches, or if you cannot attend our batches due to other commitments, we recommend you try out Personal Training. Time slots will be given according to your preference (subject to availability).

IS THIS AN INSTRUCTOR'S COURSE?

Even if you have experience in other martial arts, Krav Maga is different and requires lot of dedication and many years of training. The certification is not given easily and instructors are hand picked from advanced trainees. This course is for civilians for personal protection and protection of their loved ones.
